Warranty

GIYI stands behind every vehicle we sell. This page covers what's included, what's excluded, and how to file a claim.

Coverage

  • Your whole vehicle and battery are covered for 1 year from the date of delivery.
  • Manufacturing or quality defects are covered with free replacement parts.
  • How a repair is carried out depends on the nature of the issue. For many repairs, we'll ship the needed part to you along with guidance to complete the fix yourself. For issues that require closer inspection or hands-on work, our team will assess the situation and arrange the appropriate solution on a case-by-case basis.
  • Battery coverage applies to manufacturing and quality defects. Batteries naturally lose some capacity over time through normal use and charging cycles — this gradual aging is expected and is not considered a defect. If you experience a battery issue, our team will evaluate it individually to determine whether it falls under warranty coverage.

What's Not Covered

  • Damage caused by improper use, abuse, modification, or human error is not covered under warranty and will be charged separately.
  • Normal wear and tear, including gradual battery capacity loss from typical use over time, is not covered.
  • Vehicles purchased through third-party auctions or resellers are not covered.
  • Used or salvaged machines are not covered.
  • Repairs performed by a third party without prior written authorization from GIYI are not eligible for reimbursement.
  • GIYI is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, or costs arising from unauthorized third-party repairs.

How Claims Are Resolved

Once a claim is submitted, our team completes a technical assessment to determine the outcome, which may include:

  • Repair of the affected part or component
  • Replacement of parts, or repair of the machine
  • Refund, if approved based on the assessment

If your vehicle may need to be brought to our facility for inspection or repair, we'll first review the reported issue to determine whether it's likely covered under warranty before any transport is arranged. If the issue is confirmed to be a covered defect, GIYI covers the transportation cost. If the issue is found to fall outside warranty coverage, transportation costs are the customer's responsibility.

Warranty FAQ

Will adding accessories or making modifications void my warranty?

Yes. Damage resulting from modifications is not covered under warranty and will be handled as a separate, chargeable repair.

Is damage from an accident or outside impact covered?

No. Warranty coverage applies to manufacturing or quality defects only. Damage from accidents, misuse, or outside impact falls outside the scope of warranty coverage.

Will my battery's range decrease over time — is that covered?

Some gradual decrease in range is a normal part of how batteries age with use and charging over time, and is not considered a defect. If you notice a battery issue, reach out and our team will evaluate it individually.

Do I need to pay for labor or a service visit for a covered repair?

For confirmed defects, the repair or replacement solution we arrange is covered at no cost to you. How that repair is carried out depends on the specific issue.

Is my warranty transferable if I sell my vehicle?

No. The warranty does not transfer with the vehicle if it's sold — coverage applies only to the original purchaser.

Do I need to register my vehicle to activate the warranty?

No registration is required. Your 1-year warranty period begins automatically on the date of delivery.

Limitation of Liability

GIYI's liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund described above. GIYI is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from a defect, delay, or repair, including but not limited to lost time, inconvenience, or third-party costs incurred without prior authorization.
